Facilitated by experienced robotics students and led by parent volunteers, Holiday and After School Robotics are a great introduction for children aged 5-9 to our robotics programs.
After School Robotics – Term 1 at the TAFE starting back 8th February
Tuesday Class for 5-8 year olds is Now Full – Space available in Thursday Class at Thirroul
Embers Robotics run an after school robotics program on Tuesdays from 4pm-5pm each week at our workshop at Wollongong TAFE and also a program at Thirroul Public School on Thursday 3.45-5.30pm. Project Bucephalus run an EV3 Mindstorms Roboclub on Tuesday & Thursday at the same locations, aimed at older, more experienced kids.
Both Embers run programs are open to all students aged 5-9. The TAFE held classes cost $150 for a 10 lesson term or $15/lesson. Thirroul classes cost $27 per lesson. All lessons utilise the Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits and prepare students for the more advanced Lego Mindstorms or Spike Prime systems.
We also have some Spike Prime kits which our students are enjoying and some have been dabbling in Scratch programming.
Note: For Elonera Montessori School students the “walking wedo bus” is available for anyone who wishes to have their child collected from EMS OOSH and taken over to the TAFE for the class.
If you would like details about how to enrol, or how to catch the “bus” please contact us. Classes are limited in size due to COVID restrictions.
2022 Holiday Robotics
Sadly our UOW Little Learning Labs program for January was again cancelled due to COVID. We are hoping to be back running some holiday programs in July- stay tuned for details and dates.
EMS April school holiday dates have been released – they are 12th, 14th and 28th April. This program is only available to EMS students, please book through the school.
